Let's Homeschool Lesson Plan Links!
Personally I enjoy making my own lesson plans for most subjects. Occasionally, however, I do find the need for help. There is just no way to be great at every subject, every day! My lesson plans try to incorporate all of the senses. My children learn in very different ways but they usually learn the same things at the same time (they are very close in age). One example I can share with you is a unit we did on clouds this week.
Hearing: I read to them about the four major cloud groups.
Seeing: They have observed clouds each day and pictures of different clouds found in books and online.
Touching: We made clouds ourselves using cotton balls, paper, glue and paint.
Taste obviously does not apply for this lesson but when possible it is a great thing to include.
As you find lesson plans on the internet I would just encourage you to keep your child's learning style in mind. The best part of homeschooling is that we can adapt lessons to meet our children's distinctive learning styles.
In the future I hope to add my own personal lesson plans to this site. As of right now I just haven't found the time to put them all in the computer. If you have lesson plans that you would like to share here please contact me and I would be more than happy to post your ideas.
